Genesis Escalating Odds

Base odds: 0.004% (1 in 25,000). If undiscovered by end of Day 4:

Date Odds Multiplier
May 4-7 (Days 1-4) 0.004% (1 in 25,000) Base
May 8 (Day 5) 0.008% (1 in 12,500) 2x
May 9 (Day 6) 0.05% (1 in 2,000) 12.5x
May 10 (Final Day) 0.5% (1 in 200) 125x

"The escalation schedule will be fully disclosed to collectors at campaign launch and is immutable once published. At 0.5% on the final day, Genesis discovery is virtually guaranteed before close."

Trading Milestone Rewards (Galactic Exchange)

Runs concurrently with capsule sales. Qualified trades require unique accounts, different pins, and diminishing returns (first 5 trades with same partner count in full; trades 6+ with same partner = zero credit).

Tier Trades Required Reward Variant Est. Mints
Tier 1 5 trades Colored Enamel ~105-240
Tier 2 25 trades Embellished Enamel ~75-180
Tier 3 50 trades Color Splash ~30-90

Capsule Participation Rewards

Capsules Purchased Variant Collector Spend Est. Mints
1+ Colored Enamel $6.95+ ~4,000-6,500
10+ Embellished Enamel $69.50+ ~120-325
25+ Color Splash $173.75+ ~40-130

Revenue Projections

Scenario Est. Capsules Est. Revenue
Genesis found Days 1-4 ~20,000-25,000 $139K-$174K

Genesis found Day 7 ~40,000-50,000+ $278K-$350K+

Items Requiring Disney Approval

  • Multi-tier capsule pool (OE + LE + LEE + Genesis in a single Mystery Capsule pool) -- "Critical -- longest lead time"
  • Genesis escalating odds -- "New mechanic -- approval needed"

2. Mystery Box (Evergreen Feature)

Source: [Pinnacle] Mystery Box Product Brief Status: Seeking mechanic approval for standing weekly feature

Core Concept

Convert the proven Keys-and-Capsules mechanic from campaign-limited to an evergreen weekly feature. Collectors claim free Keys from the Revolving Storefront every four hours, join a queue, and use keys for a chance to open the box and win a prize inside.

Two changes from prior campaigns: 1. Evergreen cadence -- weekly instead of time-limited 2. Multi-winner box -- each box holds 50-100+ pins, not single-winner

Why It Matters

"The platform needs a reason to come back every week. The Revolving Storefront drives daily retention, but there is no recurring event that pulls collectors back on a predictable weekly cadence."

"The single-winner model creates high-drama moments, but the vast majority of participants leave with nothing."

How Keys Work

  • One Key appears in the Revolving Storefront every four hours, free to all collectors
  • Each collector can claim one Key per rotation
  • Keys are off-chain consumables -- not NFTs, cannot be bought/sold/traded
  • Key distribution is ongoing between drops (collectors accumulate all week)

Evolution from Prior Campaigns

Attribute Genesis Keys Holiday Keys Mystery Box
Winners per box 1 1 50-100
Prize type 1-of-1 Genesis Edition Full OE or LE set Mixed pool across edition types
Campaign duration Campaign-limited Campaign-limited Weekly cadence
Key distribution Storefront, 4-hour rotation Storefront, 4-hour rotation Storefront, 4-hour rotation

Example: Star Wars Mystery Box (May 9, 2026)

190 Star Wars pins, 10,000 keys to complete, 24-hour drop window, keys per turn: 1-10 (collector's choice).

Edition Pins in Box Odds per Key Odds per 10-Key Turn
Standard 100 1.00% 9.6%
Silver Sparkle 50 0.50% 4.9%
Golden 25 0.25% 2.5%
Digital Display 10 0.10% 1.0%
Limited Edition 5 0.05% 0.5%
Any prize 190 1.90% 17.3%

What Is NOT in This Brief

Individual weekly campaign briefs will define: specific pin contents and edition mix, box size (50-100), key quantity per rotation, promotional key distribution, and drop window timing. This brief covers the standing mechanic only.

3. Pin Gifting

Source: [Pinnacle] Pin Gifting Product Brief Status: Seeking mechanic approval to proceed to design and build

Core Concept

One-way, no-cost pin transfer between collectors. Sender taps "Gift Pin," enters username, selects pin, confirms. Pin transfers permanently.

Current Workaround

"Collectors are already doing this -- they tell a friend to 'go get a pin,' then trade them a package of pins for that one in return. It functions as a gift, but the workaround breaks down for the most important use case: a recipient who has nothing in their collection can't participate at all."

Key Attributes

Attribute Details
Transfer type One-way (no reciprocal trade required)
Cost to sender None (no platform fee at launch)
Recipient Any Pinnacle account
Pin eligibility All minus pins with maturation periods
Transfer finality Permanent -- no reversal once confirmed

Proposed Eligibility Framework

  • Identity verification completed, OR
  • Account holds a minimum number of pins (threshold TBD) AND the specific pin has cleared its maturation period
  • Gifting suspended during any pending identity review
  • Platform reserves the right to grant gifting exceptions for authorized promotional use cases (Disney-hosted events, creator giveaways)

"This framework has worked well on NBA Top Shot, protecting against fraud and account manipulation while keeping the mechanic accessible to any verified or established collector."

Why It Matters

  1. Low-friction onboarding tool -- new collector arrives with something to show
  2. Adds social and emotional weight to digital collecting (mirrors physical pin culture)
  3. Most-requested community feature -- "closes a visible gap between what the platform does and what physical pin culture has always done naturally"

4. Disney+ Trivia Pilot Program

Source: [Pinnacle] D+ Trivia Pilot Program Prize Product Brief Status: Pre-decision -- prize format unresolved, dependencies unassigned

Core Concept

Disney+ is piloting a trivia experience and selected Pinnacle as the exclusive prize partner for a two-month program targeting D23 fans, starting June 1, 2026. ~60,000 unique redemption codes distributed to trivia winners, each granting a Pinnacle prize.

"Pinnacle is the only prize partner in the pilot -- no competing collectibles brands."

Acquisition Funnel

"This is a meaningful acquisition funnel -- 60,000 players who have already demonstrated Disney fandom and earned something through effort, landing in Pinnacle for the first time."

Open Question: Prize Format

Option Description Risk
OE Vouchers Code redeems for an existing OE pin "60k extra claims into OE inventory creates serious supply pressure and may devalue existing drops"
Bespoke Design Custom pin(s) designed for the program Production cost; no Marvel/licensed IP logos allowed under current contract

"No logos (Marvel, Star Wars, etc.) are available for a bespoke design -- this is a contract constraint that narrows the creative space significantly."
